The evening started with a roam/gate camp with FC tombomb13, his intentions for the evening seemed to be to interrupt the Gallente and stop them plexing our system. Kills where not our goal.
Tombomb13 a fast paced FC who like to mix gate camps with system defence and anything else he can fit in. Takes for abit of ship swapping and if you didn’t pay attention you would find yourself in a large outpost on your own!
Rapid withdrawal [RDRAW] seemed to be attempting to plex our system. At first in Catalysts, a fleet of around 10 sat in a large plex. FC rallied the troops and we formed in Griffins for the damp, with some destroyers for dps. I called primary's and they melted faster than I could call them, I’m not used to calling targets so I didn’t even get on those kills!. I think we lost 2 ships including my Thrasher but we whittled them down, the last couple managed to warp out.
After looting the field and complaining of crappy loot we reformed the gate camp. Rapid withdrawal, rapidly reshipped, to our amusement and a fleet of Tristans got into the system and went straight to a novice. We docked and waited for instructions. I could tell our fc was fiending to form for them but there was little we could do, they had the advantage being sat in the plex and we where not set for fighting kitey drone boats. And so we returned to our gate camp, only to find shortly afterwards that the tristan fleet where moving trough us... And in no orderly fashion. They where coming though one by one... and we killed them, one by one. My guess is there FC had to RL GTFO or something, iv not seem a fleet try to move through a gate camp like that before.
The remainder of the evening took place on the gate, we continued to disarm unsuspecting passers by. A Flycatcher?! In low?!...few Incursus’s and comets etc. Highlight of the evening being a VNI, the pilot was not going down easily and attempted to out run us, crashing gate two or three times before following the rest in our wreck pile. unfortunately i was not on the killing side of the gate!
And so, not to bad for a school night, I believe these are the advantages of low sec, its nice to have a fight practically on your undock when u return from work. When I used to live in null PVP was hard to find during the week, Weekdays where for making Isk.
Its also nice to have a good group of people in my corp and alliance, activity is more than i expected prior to joining, and by activity I mean undocking and fighting. After all, that is what we do....
